MEET THE FOUNDER
Hi, I'm Ja'Mecha McKinney, educator, children's author, and founder of Hidden Gem.
With a background in psychology and education, I've spent more than a decade working alongside children and families in classrooms, homes, and communities. Throughout those experiences, one belief has remained at the heart of my work: every child carries something valuable within them waiting to be discovered.
That belief inspired Hidden Gem.
What began through my work as an educator has grown into a mission to create meaningful experiences that support the whole child - academically, personally, and within their community.
Whether a child is building confidence through personalized learning or choosing a new book from the Reading Wagon, I want every Hidden Gem experience to remind children that their ideas matter, their potential is worth nurturing, and they have something meaningful to contribute to the world.
